Baby 440 - a Receiver-In-The-Ear solution for infants
AimIn collaboration with the Hearing Habilitation group at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, ORCA Europe participated in a clinical evaluation of the new hearing aid Baby400 from Widex A/S. The evaluation focused on safety and stability issues. The specific aim of the study was to investigate both parents’ and audiologists’ impressions of a new RITE solution for infants, age 0-3 years, in terms of safety, stability and security.
Main OutcomesThe observations and questionnaires in this study revealed that the impressions of the physical fit of a new RITE solution for infants were very positive. Both parents and audiologists regarded the hearing aid as stable and safe in everyday situations and ratings increased over time. The findings supported the use of this type of hearing aid for this age group.
